Try Rose Lodge with our Day Care
Deciding to live in a care home is a big decision, and it makes sense to plan ahead so that, when the time comes, you already know where you want to live.
Day Care
Once you have viewed a few care homes, one good way to try out Rose Lodge is to join our Day Care service, which is provided in the Cottage, our small community for people living with early to mid-stage dementia, where we offer a maximum of four Day Care places in this community of 15 people.
You will find the Cottage a sociable and active community with a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere where you can be yourself, and join in activities such as gardening, music, cooking, drama, yoga, animal keeping, pub quizzes and so much more.
Or you can just come and have your hair or nails done or enjoy a relaxing hand-massage or bath. You tell us what will make you happy and we will do our best to meet your needs.
With our extensive Active Living programme in an environment designed for people with dementia, the Cottage feels a bit like a social club where you can stay for the whole day.

We collect you
With our own wheelchair-adapted minibus, it is easy to come to Rose Lodge. We pick you up from home and drop you off at the end of the day.
Priority for a room
If you use our Day Care, you have priority when a room becomes available, when you decide the time has come to join the Cottage community permanently.
Respite stays
Occasionally we have a room available for respite care, where you can stay for a few days or weeks. This depends on rooms being available.
Not planning to move at all?
Perhaps you have no intention of ever living in a care home, yet you would like to make new friends and join in fun activities.
Day Care fits the bill: you, and your partner or carer, can spend a few hours with us each week and join in the activities you really enjoy. It gives home carers a break, too.
