One home, a path through it
Rose Lodge is two small communities and a day club, joined by one garden. Many families start with a day a week, and move along the path only when the time is right.

A garden made for wandering
Our two communities and the extensive gardens have been designed specifically to help people explore them independently. You can freely wander the home and the gardens, and it is almost impossible to leave by accident.
There are large terraces, raised flower beds and an allotment, bird tables for the squirrels and birds, and animals to look after: chickens, guinea pigs, rabbits, doves, koi carp, a cat and a budgie.

No uniforms, on purpose
We encourage our carers to have real caring relationships with residents and so they do not wear uniforms, which tend to throw up barriers between people.
Each resident is helped to find what still brings them joy, from the singing circle and the pub quiz to feeding the chickens or preparing the vegetables for lunch.
